Re: CIF bid complaints??
Hi all,
Quick update on the saga..
Scaffolding still up compound still in the carpark but no one has been working on the site since the last update.
The only time they have been here is to collect materials left on site.
There is a meeting next week with the MD of the Bid company / project managers to discuss the inspection report we had done.
We are requesting that the whole roof is removed and started again.
In the meantime we now have 3 new leaks from the roof![[Thumb_up.png] [Thumb_up.png]](./images/smilies/Thumb_up.png)

How does the inspection report look that you had done? In your last post you said you were awaiting the report (unless I missed it).

The report basically confirmed all that I had been saying.thecaretaker wrote: ↑13th Jan 2023 at 10:48am How does the inspection report look that you had done? In your last post you said you were awaiting the report (unless I missed it).
The insulation panels had not been fitted as per the plan, there are significant areas where water was pooling including the drainage gulley's, the outlets from the gulley's were significantly higher than the gulley's themselves, there were multiple areas of unsupported felt and as such was not a fully bonded system as per the manufacturer specifications. there were areas of particularly poor detailing including many where the manufacturers guidance was not followed and generally poor workmanship overall.
It wasn't a pretty report for the roofing company.
The biggest issue overall was the "cut to fall" insulation panels from Kingspan, there was a very detailed installation plan which it was clear had not been followed by the roofers. to remove those panels will destroy the felt coverings and as the panels are bonded to the vapour barrier which is bonded to the metal deck, it will also destroy those as well.
Hence the only course of action is to strip it all off and start again.
